10 Makeup mistakes to avoid

Hello Everybody,
I know we have all made those mistakes in the past, looking back how you wish you could have changed it. Even today we might be making few of the mistakes unconsciously. I will be listing down the mistakes to avoid so you can look flawless and glow from within :)
Shall we begin

1.Foundation
The most common mistake is to buy a foundation that is not of your skin tone. Foundation,if applied in the right way helps to look fresh and youthful. The Trick here is to test the shades across your jawline and find the one closest to you skin tones that matches your neck .
Here I have explained in detail about the foundation :

2.Concealer :
Concealer is the most misunderstood word in the beauty.Applying 6 to 7 shades lighter concealer will not look healthy at all. It ll look too ashy on your skin and leaves a stark white effect.Concealers are to brighten your Under Eye area which should be two shades lighter than your skin tone. But there's a catch here if you have dark circles or bags and direct application of concealer will not look  flattering, even after application of concelaer you can still see the under eye bags and the dark circles,Before using any concealer be sure use a peachy corrector for fair skin tone and orange corrector for deeper skin tones.

3.Contouring :
Contouring brings out the features and gives dimension to your face.Contouring colour should not be 5 shades darker than your skin tone. It should be 2 r 3 shades darker to you skin tone that mimics the actual colour that you see on the  hallow of your cheeks .Otherwise, it looks muddy on your face.

4.Blending:
Blending is the key to achieve a most flawless look.Make sure to blend the foundation down the neckline.I cannot stress enough how important it is to blend  your foundation and contour .It all ties together and gives you a polished look.

5.Blush : This is another mistake that we make. Applying way too much blush to the apples of the cheeks and not blending it towards the temples. With Blush always remember less is more.Blush gives to that healthy glow and bring life to your face.

6.Bronzer :
Applying bronzer to contour your face. Its a big blunder and your face will not look sunkissed . Bronzer is to be applied on forehead, nose and little bit on your temples to give you that golden sunkissed look.
7.Not Removing your makeup :
Going to sleep with your make up on. It is a big no no.Your skin needs to breathe and going to sleep with make up on will break out your skin.

8.Blowing on the brushes:
It is not a good habit to blow on your make up brushes The brush catches the bacteria and the same brush when applied to your skin. you may have break out or acne.

9.EyeBrows:
I know having bold eye brows seems to be in trend. In real life let me break it to you, it will not look flattering. Just fill in the sparse area and follow the natural shape of your eye brow.

10.Expired Products:
Every Product has shelf life and using the products after shelf life will not do any good for your skin.Always check the expiry date of the product and throw away those products no matter how expensive the products.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL WHETHER YOU CHOOSE TO PUT  MAKE UP OR NOT.
Be yourself and Be confident .

How to choose Right Shade of Foundation

Hey Guys,
I am very much excited to help you find the right shade foundation. Yes, that's correct.
Well, we all know how tricky it is to buy the foundation that matches your skin tone.
So as you are reading this article i want you to religiously follow the steps . I am sure that you will be able to select from the array of foundations.
Let's start shall we?
While purchasing foundation we should take four things into account .
1.Shade ( light to dark)
2.Undertone( different colors that are prominent within our skin)  Example : pink or yellow
3.Skin Type
4.Coverage
1.Shade : Foundation helps to even out our skin.I know, there are different shades of foundation color which makes it even more harder to choose correctly. So,where were we? Always match your foundation shade to your neck or jawline irrespective of the fact that your face might be little lighter or darker than your neck Blend in and take a picture to check how it looks on you. If its blends in perfectly and looks like your skin color. that's the shade you should be buying. So that your neck and face look same color.
Tip : After you apply foundation on your face and neck ,sometimes it oxidizes with your skin and the foundation looks darker on your skin. Please keep in mind. Apply and wait for half an hour and check how it looks.

2.Undertones: There are few variation of colors within your skin .Basically there are three different undertones that lies within our skin.
i.Cool Undertone ( pink, red and blues)
ii.Warm Undertone ( golden, subtle yellow )
iii.Neutral ( if you are not able to tell which undertone you are that means you are neutral.equal blend of cool and warm)

Now how do you find your undertone?
Here are the 2 test that will help you to determine your undertone.
Wrist Test : Have a look at your veins on your wrist. what color do you see? Is it green or olive color? Then you have a warm undertone.if u cant tell if your veins are mix of blue and greenish color that shows you are neutral.
Jewelry Test : If silver jewelry looks really good and brings out your features then you are probably cool undertone and the same with gold, if gold jewelry makes your skin glow that means you are probably warm undertone.
Take a good look at your neck in the daylight. What colors are prominent ? If you see more of a subtle pink, blue or red hues within your skin. you are cool toned but if, see more of beige or subtle yellow then you are warm toned.
Finally if your neck has warm undertone  : Go for warmed based(yellow or golden) foundation
If your neck has Pink undertone :  Purchase foundation that is neutral foundation.

3.Skin Type : We need to purchase a foundation based on our skin type. Sometimes the shade matches perfectly with your skin but  it will look cakey or cling to your dry patches. We don't want that right?
There are 4 different skin types:
i.Oily
ii.Dry
iii.Combination
iv. Normal
Oily :  You need to buy a foundation that has oil absorbing properties. Keep away from the foundation that are of oil based it will make your skin look cakey and wear off easily. Look for foundations with matte finish and always top it of with powder.
Dry : Look for foundation that has ingredients that are hydrating or moisturizing you skin.Do not use matte foundation as it might cling to your dry patches and make it more prominent.
Combination : If you have an oily t-zone (forehead, chin and nose area ) and other parts of the face can be dry or normal.Buy a foundation which caters to help you out with both .
Normal : This is probably the best skin type.If you have then you are one lucky girl .You can use any type of foundation. It can be matte or dewy foundation.

4.Coverage: 3 types:
Sheer : It just helps to even out your skin and a tad bit of slightest tint and looks very natural and fresh. it is very light weight. Don't expect it to cover your blemishes or acne.It is prefect for everyday.
Medium : It is a little bit thicker in consistency and it helps to cover your small acne spots.
Full : Often used only in photo shoots, where models have to look without any spot on their face. It has thicker consistency then medium coverage. It can cover any type of harsh scars or acne spots on your face.

Coloressence Compact Powder CP 2-Ivory and CP3-Beige Review and Swatches.

Hello Everybody,
I was on a hunt to buy a  Compact which has natural ingredients. After doing some research,I decided to buy Coloressence Compact Powder.

                         CP-3 Beige                                      CP-2 Ivory Beige

At first I bought CP3 Beige unfortunately it wasn't my shade. So I bought CP2 Ivory Beige and yes finally a perfect shade that did suit me.CP3 looked very pinkish on my face.

Packaging : I think the packaging was pretty good given the price. It comes with a flip flop container. One can actually see the product as it transparent . To my surprise it had second case in which the puff (not a great fan of the puff) and the small mirror had been put.If you need touch up when you are outside. It comes in handy.
Price : Rs 160 ( keeps changing)

Fragrance: It smells amazing. If you are not a fan of fragrance nothing to worry.Once you apply the product onto your face. The intensity of the fragrance tones down.you will not able to smell the fragrance.

Product: It is manufactured by the Nature's Magic World. It is available in 4 shades. There are yellow and pink undertones compact powders. It is one of the affordable make up line with good quality in India.

My Experience: First of all, I really like that it gives you an instant healthy glow. However, I find that the texture of CP2 and CP3 is different.CP3 text is very smooth it has a pinky undertone to it.whereas the CP3, it has yellow undertone and it is little rough. Although, both does the exact same job.I have very dry skin on my cheeks,so i make sure to apply good amount of moisturizer before applying the compact. I take the little product and pat it gently all over my skin,I keep adding the product as required. If I take the product onto the puff and rub it on my skin.I see the dry patches peaking through. It helps to even out the skin and gives you a fresh natural look.It doesn't look cakey at all.The product feels very light on the skin.Glides onto the skin very smoothly and blends effortlessly. It provides a mild coverage which is pretty decent given the price of the product. It gives a matte finish and stays on for a good 3 hours on your skin.Product is sweat proof and oil free.Pigmentation is really dense.
